Stories

Rafting on Quartzville CreekZach Collier: A few of us gathered to paddle Lower Quartzville Creek from Yellowbottom Recreation Site to Green Peter Reservoir. There's a road along this entire stretch of river so we were able to scout the rapids on the drive up to put-in.

The first 5 or so miles were generally Class II and III with some beautiful stretches of flatwater in between. We were all impressed by the clear water. After passing Dogwood Recreation Site the whitewater picked up with back to back Class IV rapids. Our trip ended with a short flatwater paddle across Green Peter Reservoir.
